Millennials are getting a reputation for living at home for much longer than the generations before them. While many perceive this as lazy, there are actually factors that can be to blame why more people ages 22-34 are choosing to remain at home instead of the alternative of finding their own apartment or home.
The highest percentage of people that still live at home are young adults that are in their late teens and early 20s. This is understandable due to the fact that most of these millennials have just graduated from high school and are in the process of finalizing their college plans or are looking for their first full-time position. What is more shocking, though, is the number of people who still live at home that are in the 22-34 age range.
